The project aims to set up a team to address the challenges of fair mental health LGBTQI+ data use with AI/ML and at informing digital health practices and policy.
The team will involve different groups of people to succeed:
Executive Group: This is the main team responsible for running the project, handling organizational tasks, and sharing the findings. It's made up of the people who wrote the project proposal.
Advisory Working Group: This group of around 10 experts will help with the final decision-making process and consists of experts in fields like AI, ethics, health policy, and mental health, as well as people with lived experience in these areas.Â
Survey Group: This larger group, aiming for at least 50 members, will participate in online surveys to share their opinions and experiences. This group will include a mix of people similar to the advisory group, but open to anyone who is interested and can give informed consent.

The participants will be found through various means like professional networks, direct outreach to community groups, and online events. However, participants will not be paid, but will be recognized for their contributions on the project's website and in academic publications.
The Advisory and Survey groups will include:
People with lived experience of mental health issues from LGBTQI+ communities.
Representatives from LGBTQI+ mental health charities and organizations.
Mental health professionals with expertise in LGBTQI+ communities.
Finding the right people:
We will reach out to our networks and LGBTQI+ organizations to find participants.
We will also hold an online event to raise awareness and invite participation.
We will not offer financial compensation, but we will acknowledge everyone's contribution and offer co-authorship on research papers to the advisory group.
